A juvenile victim was found shot today on Woodyear Street. Now, the Baltimore Police Department is investigating the matter. According to BPD, officers were in the area of Laurens Street and Carey Street around 3:30 p.m. on April 26 when they heard a gun discharging.

While canvassing the area, officers were notified of a Shot Spotter alert in the 1300 block of North Woodyear Street. At the scene, officers found an unidentified juvenile female suffering from a gunshot wound.

BPD says the wound is non-life-threatening. Medics transported the juvenile to a hospital where she received treatment. Western District Shooting Detectives are investigating the shooting.
