  1. Patty says:

I am the grandmother of the victim that was shot and killed by a k9 officer in clinton,TN. I am the one that called 911 to get help for my 25 yr old biracial grandson and I told them that he had cut his arm and was suicidal and I told them what his mental illness diagnosis was and that he wasn’t in his right mind and needed to go to the hospital. When the k9 officer arrived my grandson was inside and I was outside. I told the officer exactly what was going on,his diagnosis and that he needed to go to the hospital quickly. The officer showed up with no lights on and was aggressive towards me. When my grandson came outside he still had a knife in his hand and the officer screamed 5 words at him before he started shooting. My grandson was in a mental crisis and couldn’t process what was happening. The officer immediately escalated the situation, he didn’t taze him or pepper spray him. He didn’t use his specialized tactical marine training to take him down. He never let his dog out or tried to shoot in a non lethal manner. He didn’t wait on back up. He went straight for the kill. Shooting him not once not twice but three times. God and I were the only eye witnesses and I will see and hear it for the rest of my life.I don’t know how anyone can commit a homicide and take the vulnerable life of another person and thinks he won’t answer to God.He will. There will be justice for isaiah.

I am really sorry to hear this. It’s getting to the point this is happening at least once or twice a day. Not all are justified. They’re not receiving the type of national coverage they once did even those that are blatantly questionable.

There is certainly room for bias when the police investigate the police. Hoping for the best. If you’d like to reach more people, you can post your story on our FB group and keep us up to date: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2508816416030915
