The driver of a crashed vehicle is on the run. The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office in the search for the suspect. The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that there is a heavy police presence in the Paradis area near and around LA 306 and US 90.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were pursuing a vehicle that entered St. Charles Parish. As SCPSO deputies were responding to assist, the vehicle crashed at the aforementioned intersection. Following the crash, the driver fled on foot.

SCPSO and LPSO deputies are currently searching for the suspect in the area. Authorities ask that locals avoid the area for the time being.
