17-year-old charged in connection to McKees Rocks homicide of 15-year-old Ahsan Edwards

A 17-year-old has been charged in connection to the death of 15-year-old Ahsan Edwards. Earlier today, the Allegheny County Police Department announced that a 17-year-old had been charged in the case.

County 911 received a report of a shooting in Third Street Park around 4:02 p.m.  on April 20, 2024. At the scene, officers found a teenage male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, 15-year-old Ahsan Edwards, was transported to an area hospital where he passed away.

The McKees Rocks Police Department requested assistance from the ACPD Homicide Unit. Detectives say they found multiple shell casings along the sidewalk near the entrance of the park. They have identified 17-year-old Delvon Johnson as the person responsible for the shooting.

Johnson is facing multiple charges including criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and illegal possession of a firearm. ACPD says Johnson was arrested on Friday afternoon at a residence in Orlando, Florida.
