A man was shot in the neck this morning and left with life-threatening injuries. The Everett Police Department is investigating the shooting. EPD says officers responded to the 9800 block of 18th Avenue West around 11 a.m. after calls reported hearing gunshots and one subject on the ground.

EPD officers and Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene. EPD says it was determined that the victim had been driven away from the scene in a dark-colored sedan. Evidence of a shooting was discovered at the scene.

SCSO deputies found a black sedan at 128th and 4th Avenue West at which time they found a male victim who had been shot in the neck. The victim was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

EPD Major Crimes Detectives are investigating and attempting to determine what led up to the shooting.
