Two men arrested for robbery and burglary at Wawa in Stuart Florida

Two men have been arrested for robbery. The Stuart Police Department reports that its officers responded to the Wawa at 2401 South Kanner Highway for a report of a robbery on April 25, 2024.

At the scene, officers spoke to the victim who said two male suspects forcibly stole her purse and fled in an older Toyota. The descriptions of the suspects and vehicle were broadcast countywide. A short time later, a Martin County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit found the suspect vehicle north on I-95 near Kanner Highway.

After a short pursuit, the suspects stopped and were taken into custody without incident. SPD says officers found evidence in the vehicle that linked the suspects to the crime. Both suspects were charged with Robbery, Burglary of a Vehicle, Grand Theft, and Tampering with Evidence.

Detectives believe the suspects have no ties to Martin County and targeted the victim who had just visited a bank. The suspects are identified as 39-year-old Adrian Perez-Rocha of Orlando and 27-year-old Bryam Cardenas Moreno of Cicero, Illinois. Moreno is also charged with Fleeing and Eluding by MCSO.
