Authorities are dealing with a barricaded suspect situation. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reports that Special Enforcement Bureau personnel have responded to assist Lancaster Station personnel with a barricaded suspect.

The report came in around 7:30 p.m. on April 26, 2024 in the 2000 block of West Avenue I in Lancaster. SEB assumed tactical control. The Crisis Negotiation Team will attempt to contact the suspect and bring the situation to a peaceful resolution.

LASD says the surrounding businesses were evacuated. No other details are available at this time.
