A woman is behind bars after fatally shooting her boyfriend with a pellet gun in Pierce County, Washington. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department arrested the 49-year-old woman and booked her into the Pierce County Jail for Murder in the 2nd Degree.

Around 6:35 p.m. on May 1, 2024, PCSD deputies responded to a call of a shooting at a residence in Graham, Washington off of 252nd Street East and 52nd Avenue East. At the scene, deputies found a 51-year-old man deceased outside.

Deputies learned that the girlfriend of the victim had shot her boyfriend with a pellet gun. Detectives and Forensic Investigators responded to the scene to investigate. The 49-year-old woman was arrested and charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree.

The Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene. A search warrant was served on the home to retrieve the pellet gun and other evidence, according to PCSD.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has not identified the suspect at this time.
