A man and a woman are dead in what authorities are calling an apparent murder-suicide. The incident was reported earlier this morning. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies responded to 4192 Moreno Drive in Palm Harbor around 8:24 a.m. following a 911 call reporting a man and woman had been shot.

At the scene, deputies located 52-year-old Stacey McLean deceased in a bedroom. Deputies located 26-year-old Darryl Serraj deceased in a separate bedroom. Authorities believe Serraj died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Detectives say Serraj had been in a romantic relationship with the victim’s daughter for approximately five years but it had recently ended. Serraj allegedly broke into the residence, murdered Stacey McLean, and killed himself.

The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death. No other details are available at this time.
