The Lexington Police Department is investigating after a victim suffered blunt force trauma and succumbed to their injuries. LPD reports that the homicide occurred on May 4 around 7:20 a.m.

Around 7:17 a.m. on May 4, LPD officers responded to the 2100 block of Christian Road for a report of a person down. At the scene, responding officers found a male victim suffering from apparent blunt force trauma.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The unidentified male victim succumbed to his injuries on May 5. Personal Crimes Section detectives are investigating the homicide.

At a later time, the Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name. No other details are available.
