A woman has been arrested in connection to a child abuse incident at a care development center in South Carolina. The Laurens Police Department reports that officers received a report of alleged child abuse at the Tender Loving and Care Development Center at 1405 West Main Street.

LPD says video evidence substantiated the allegations of abuse. An arrest warrant for Unlawful Conduct Toward a Child was issued for 27-year-old Salathia Guest who was newly hired by the daycare facility.

On May 3, 2024, LPD and the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office took Guest into custody. She will be held at the Johnson Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing on May 4. LPD believes the abuse was an isolated incident.
