15-year-old admits to shooting seven school buses with pellet gun – Gresham Police Department

The Gresham Police Department claims to have identified the 15-year-old responsible for shooting the windows of seven school buses on their way to pick up students. Authorities received calls just after 2:30 p.m. on April 24, 2024 that someone had shot the windows out of multiple school buses using a pellet gun.

At the time, the buses were driving on Southeast Powell Valley Boulevard near Kane Drive. GPD confirms there were no students on any of the buses at the time. GPD officers responded to investigate the incident. Seven buses were struck. Three windshields and four side windows were damaged.

A 15-year-old suspect was identified and confronted by GPD officers. The Gresham Police Department says the boy admitted to shooting the school bus windows with a pellet gun. The 15-year-old was transported to the Donald E Long Home on suspicion of Criminal Mischief I.
