One person has been shot and hospitalized in a shooting in Elk Grove on Sunday afternoon. The Elk Grove Police Department reports that the victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound following an argument.
EGPD is on the scene in the area of Calvine and Vineyard. The shooting incident reportedly occurred around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Authorities say the victim got into an argument with the suspect at a nearby location.
Both left the scene in separate vehicles traveling eastbound on Calvine Road. At some point, the suspect fired at the victim. EGPD says the victim managed to drive to an area hospital to receive treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
