The Columbia Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday evening. CPD reports that officers responded to the 900 block of Madison Street around 7:15 p.m. on June 27 for a report of shots fired.

At the scene, officers found an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. CPD confirms that no one is in custody at this time.
