The Roswell Police Department has arrested a 42-year-old man accused of filming and inappropriately touching a young girl. RPD reports that the man has been charged with multiple counts related to the filming, photographing, and inappropriate touching of the victim.

The man is also accused of using the videos and photos on his phone to blackmail the girl’s mother. RPD says Justin Christie was arrested on June 13, 2024 on charges of Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor, Aggravated Stalking, Attempted Extortion, and Voyeurism.

RPD alleges that Christie committed the crimes while living in a shed on the property of the house where the girl and her mother live. Additional charges are possible. At this time, Christie is being housed in the Chaves County Detention Center.
