A man is now facing a charge of murder in connection to a fatal stabbing in March 2024. The Victoria Police Department reports that charges have been laid in the investigation into the fatal stabbing.

On March 31, 2024, officers responded to a stabbing in the 700 block of Pandora Avenue. At the scene, officers found one deceased male victim and another victim. The surviving victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crimes Unit assumed control of the investigation. On June 27, 2024, a charge of murder was laid against Robert Travers. Travers is in custody awaiting a future court date.
