A woman is behind bars following two crashes and a pursuit. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies responded to a crash at North Adair Street and North 10th Avenue in Cornelius around 5:33 p.m. on April 28, 2024.

WCSO says a woman driving a white 2007 Dodge Charger hit a 1997 Ford F150 before fleeing the scene. The suspect has been identified as 39-year-old Lisa L. Sullivan of Cornelius. Two deputies reached the scene almost immediately.

One helped the driver of the Ford who suffered minor injuries. The other deputy searched for the Dodge Charger which was spotted leaving the scene going north out of Cornelius. Authorities received multiple 911 calls reporting the car passing recklessly at high speeds and driving on one rim.

The deputy started catching the Dodge when he came across a second crash around 5:40. WCSO says Sullivan hit a 2016 Mercedes sedan at Highway 47 and Northwest Verboort Road before fleeing the scene. The deputy stayed to help the victim. A Forest Grove sergeant attempted to stop the Dodge.

When the driver refused to stop, police pursued her at around 80 MPH as the car drove out of Forest Grove on Highway 47. Around 5:49 p.m., a Sheriff’s Office deputy used a PIT to stop the pursuit. Sullivan’s Dodge went off the highway falling roughly 25 feet into a farm field.

WCSO says Sullivan refused commands to get out of the car. When she finally did, she allegedly tried to flee on foot. Lisa Sullivan was taken into custody at 5:56 p.m. after being tackled by deputies. She was booked on the following.

• Two counts of fleeing or attempting to elude police officer
• Two counts of felony failure to perform the duties of a driver to injured persons (hit and run causing injury)
• One count each of reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person
