The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has released photos of a suspect wanted in the murder of a local man. Authorities say 28-year-old Bryson Walton exited the Primo’s Store at 14180 State Highway 249 N and began walking to his vehicle around 6:15 PM on December 10, 2023.

Police believe Walton may have engaged the suspect verbally on the sidewalk in front of the store. As Walton continued to his vehicle, the suspect allegedly followed along while carrying on a conversation with Walton.

As Walton started to enter the driver’s side of his car, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot into the vehicle. The victim was struck by gunfire. EMS responded, but Bryson Walton succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office describes the suspect as a black male around 25 years of age. He has twists or braids. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 713-274-9100 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
