The Tulsa Police Department is searching for an SUV that fled the scene after running over a woman’s foot. TPD reports that the Gilcrease Division Traffic Unit is attempting to identify the driver of the vehicle.

Around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, the driver of a red Mazda SUV was driving through the Home Depot parking lot at 9th and Elgin when he cut across the safety zone between two handicap parking spaces.

The SUV allegedly ran over the foot of a customer in the handicap space. The driver exchanged words with the victim before driving away from the scene. The elderly female victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

TPD confirms she is expected to recover. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
