According to a press release from the Montgomery County Department of Police, the 5th District Investigative Section is investigating a series of burglaries that happened at the Stay Lit Smoke Shop in Damascus beginning in August 2023. According to police, there have been four burglaries and one attempted burglary at the store which is located in the 26100 block of Ridge Road.

• August 25, 2023 around 4:30 AM
• September 17, 2023 around 3:35 AM
• September 24, 2023 around 4:00 (attempted burglary)
• November 6, 2023 around 3:40 AM

Police say between two and five suspects entered the business and smashed either the front door or front window in each of the incidents. Once they entered the store, the suspects stole various merchandise. Based on security footage, detectives believe the same suspects have been involved in all of the burglaries.
