According to a social media post from the Peoria Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East Frye on November 25 around 9:43 PM in reference to two ShotSpotter alerts indicating four rounds had been fired. Once they arrived, officers located an adult male who had been shot inside a residence. According to police, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Peoria County Coroner is at the scene. At a later time, the Peoria County Coroner will release the victim’s identity, manner, and cause of death. The incident remains under investigation.
