According to the Austin Police Department’s Corporal Jose Mendez, Austin Police Department officers responded to the 2500 block of Sol Wilson Avenue around 10:09 PM in reference to a shots fired call. Multiple callers reported hearing gunshots from the area. Upon arrival, officers located two males with obvious trauma to their bodies. APD officers began rendering life-saving aid immediately, but one victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The other individual was taken to a local hospital where he is in stable condition, according to the Austin Police Department. Based on the preliminary investigation, there was a gathering of sorts at a residence in the area and a disturbance took place. The disturbance led to three people being injured. No one is in custody and no suspect information is available. The three victims are two males and one female.

At this time, police are not certain this is an isolated incident.
