A 71-year-old female has succumbed to her injuries following a multi-vehicle crash in Waco, Texas. The Waco Police Department is currently investigating the collision. WPD reports that officers were called to a crash near I35 and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 9:27 p.m. on May 15.

The collision involved three vehicles. The initial investigation indicates that a 1999 Ford F-150 hit the outside retaining wall. While the F-150 was coming back into traffic, it was reportedly struck by a Freightliner. WPD believes this caused a 2015 Hyundai Sonata to hit the back of the Freightliner.

A 71-year-old female passenger in the Hyundai Sonata was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her name is not being released. No other details are available at this time.
