Metropolitan Police detectives arrested a 56-year-old man on November 19, 2023, and charged him with Sexual Abuse of a Secondary Education Student. Mark Anthony Williams allegedly engaged in criminally sexual acts with a minor over a four-month stint in 2014.

The investigation was ongoing when detectives learned Williams had left the country. MPD received an alert on November 16 that Williams had returned to the United States. Detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest. Three days later, on November 19, Williams was apprehended at the Baltimore Washington International Airport by US Customs and Border Protection agents.

Williams has been charged with first-degree Sexual Abuse of a Secondary Education Student. The judge ordered Williams to be returned to DC to face charges.
