Pittsburgh Police respond to Knox Avenue after shots were fired inside an apartment building

According to the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department, Pittsburgh Police responded to a shooting inside an apartment building earlier tonight. Around 8:45 p.m. on March 28, 2024, Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the 100 block of Knox Avenue for reports of shots fired inside an apartment building.

At the scene, responding officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso near Charles Street. The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. Since then, the victim was downgraded to critical condition and taken into custody. A second male victim arrived at an urgent care center in Brentwood by private vehicle.

The second victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital in stable condition. No arrests have been made at this time.
