Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting in Southeast DC. Seventh District officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of 4th Street for a report of a shooting just before 3:10 PM on November 20, 2023. Once police reached the scene, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a press release from the Metropolitan Police Department.

The victim died at the scene. Police later identified the victim as 35-year-old Rodney Snead of District Heights, Maryland. The Metropolitan Police Department is currently looking for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible. A reward of up to $25,000 may be available to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in DC.
