The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 54-year-old man in connection to a shooting at a KOA Campground. Deputies responded to the campground at 4131 North Interstate 25 around 11 a.m. on December 29, 2023 for reports of a shooting. At the scene, the victim was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim is only being identified as a 30-year-old man. He was airlifted to a hospital in Colorado Springs hospital for treatment. Police say the victim suffered serious bodily injury. The suspect, who is identified as Steven Hollingsworth, was immediately taken into custody without incident.

Hollingsworth is charged with attempted first-degree murder and is being held in the Pueblo County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
