The Yuma Police Department has identified the victim in the fatal stabbing in the 2300 block of S Avenue B as 37-year-old Justin Arviso. Officers responded to the scene around 11:02 p.m. on October 6, 2024 for a report of a male victim who had been stabbed.

Police say Arviso was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. At this time, the suspect is not in custody. Authorities say the suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his late 30s to early 40s.

He had a medium build and was last seen heading westbound on 24th Street on foot. No other details are available at this time.
