The Yakima Police Department is investigating a shooting on Monday. YPD reports that 911 received multiple reports of gunshots being fired in the area of 2200 West Nob Hill around 7:10 p.m. on June 24, 2024.

At the scene, officers found a juvenile victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Yakima Valley Multicare with injuries that are considered life-threatening.

YPD confirms that the person who fired the gunshots was found at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
