On December 12, 2023, after midnight, an officer with the Woodland Police Department observed a Hyundai sedan fail to heed a stop sign. A traffic stop revealed the Hyundai had previously been reported stolen.

The 22-year-old driver and 25-year-old passenger were detained while officers executed a search of the stolen vehicle. The search revealed the occupants of the stolen vehicle were in possession of syringes, drug paraphernalia, unidentified pills, and possibly methamphetamine.

Officers returned the stolen Hyundai to its rightful owner.

The driver, Robert Ragan of Placerville, and the passenger, Megan Huerta of Willows were remanded to the Yolo County Jail on possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a controlled substance charges.
