A 36-year-old woman has suffered serious laceration wounds during a domestic incident in Shields, Wisconsin. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office reports that it received a report of a woman who was injured with multiple laceration wounds at a residence on County Q in Shields around 5:13 p.m. on June 21, 2024.
Deputies reached the scene and took the woman to safety. The victim was transported to Aurora Medical Center in Summit for treatment. DCSO says she is currently in stable condition.
Deputies secured the area and set up a perimeter around the residence. The 38-year-old suspect remained barricaded inside until 12:16 a.m. on June 22, 2024. At that time, DCSO SWAT made entry into the residence and took the suspect into custody.
DCSO was assisted by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Watertown Police ERT, and Fond du Lac Police Department. The suspect is receiving treatment from medical staff. Following medical clearance and interviews, charges will likely be filed.
