New South Wales Police say a woman has been charged with murder after an alleged fatal stabbing in Matraville. NSW Police report that emergency services responded to a domestic incident at a home on Murrabin Avenue in Matraville around 6.15pm on 28 May 2024.
NSW Ambulance paramedics reached the scene and treated a 37-year-old man who succumbed to his injuries. Eastern Beaches Police Area Command Officers responded and established a crime scene.
Police and State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad detectives initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. A 31-year-old woman was taken into custody near the scene before being transported to an area hospital.
After inquiries, the woman was transported to Maroubra Police Station and charged with murder (DV).
