Woman charged with attempted murder following shooting in the Kenton neighborhood

The Portland Police Bureau has announced charges against a woman following a shooting in the Kenton neighborhood. According to a media release from PPB, North Precinct officers responded to a shooting call in the 7600 block of North Interstate Avenue around 6:40 p.m. on January 16, 2024.

At the scene, officers found a man suffering from a serious gunshot wound to his leg. Treatment was provided and the victim was transported to an area hospital. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. PPB said officers learned from the victim that the shooter was a woman he had previously dated.

On January 31, 2024, the Special Victims Unit applied for and received a warrant to arrest 62-year-old Annette Oliver on charges of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon x2. Oliver was arrested in Gresham, Oregon by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on February 16, 2024.
