The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting following a Shot Spotter notification. WPD reports that its officers responded to the 400 block of South 14th Street around 10:30 p.m. following a Shot Spotter alert.

At the scene, officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. WPD confirms that several vehicles and residences were also damaged by gunfire. The victim was transported to an area hospital.

The victim’s injuries are believed to be critical. Investigators have assumed control of the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call WPD at 910-343-3609.
