The Wilmington Police Department is currently investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday evening. WPD reports that the incident happened in the 500 block of North Monroe Street just before 7 p.m. on Saturday.

At the scene, officers found an 18-year-old male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. No other details are being released at this time.
