The Wilmington Police Department announced it is investigating a robbery of a commercial delivery driver. Just before 6:30 p.m. on the evening of December 19, 2023, WPD officers responded to the area of Princess Place Driver and Barclay Hills Drive for an armed robbery.

The victim was identified as a commercial delivery driver. He informed officers that he was stopped near the intersection when two juveniles entered the delivery truck and displayed a gun. The suspects took property before fleeing the area. Some of the stolen items were recovered a short time later nearby.

Wilmington Police are describing the suspects as early teens who were wearing masks at the time of the robbery. Anyone with information should contact the Wilmington Police Department at 910-343-3609.
