On Saturday, the Wilmington Police Department announced it was investigating a double shooting. WPD reports that the shooting occurred around 5:35 p.m. in the 800 block of Carpenter Street.

A 32-year-old female victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. A 56-year-old male victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. WPD says the investigation is ongoing.
