Williamson County, Texas – The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of animal neglect. According to WCSO, an Animal Control Officer responded to an address in Bartlett, Texas regarding reports of animal neglect on January 21, 2025.
The Sheriff’s Office said that the officer found two dogs in an open kennel without food or water. The temperatures were below freezing and one of the dogs displayed clear signs of medical distress.
WCSO says the officer secured the animals, but one of them did not survive. A necropsy was conducted and the findings will be used as part of the ongoing investigation. A seizure order was obtained and the dogs were taken to the William County Animal Shelter, according to WCSO.
