A Williamsburg man has been sentenced to prison for attempting to pay a 14-year-old girl $150 for oral sex. Virginia State Police say the man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for attempted online coercion and enticement of a minor.

Court documents say that Homeland Security Investigations Task Force Officer from Naval Criminal Investigation Service Agent posed as a female on a website used for escorts and adult services.

On May 25, 2023, the agent was contacted via text message by 32-year-old Nico Mariano Villegas who believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old girl. Court documents say that Villegas arranged to meet the girl in Norfolk and pay her $150 for oral sex.

Villegas provided several photos before driving to the location to meet the underaged girl. When police attempted to stop Villegas, he allegedly accelerated and hit one of the police vehicles before fleeing on foot.

Villegas was found hiding behind a nearby retail store and taken into custody. HIS investigators say they discovered copies of the conversation and identified child sexual abuse material on Villegas’s phone.
