Deputies with the Willacy County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary in progress at 2nd Street and Palm Avenue in Lyford. Once authorities arrived, they met with victims who reported that two males and a female had entered their residence through a rear door without consent. According to a social media post from the Willacy County Sheriff’s Office, the victims stated the female displayed a large knife and one male was carrying a large metal pipe.
The female was reportedly there to collect $200 dollars the victim owed to her mother. Police say the male victim reported being assaulted multiple times by the two male suspects. After the assault, the suspects fled in a gray GMC Yukon. The victim sustained multiple injuries. The victim was able to identify the alleged suspects as Frances Eloisa Delgado, Mario Magana, and Juan Pablo Ramirez.
Deputies spotted the Yukon in Sebastian, Texas and attempted to conduct a felony traffic stop. The males described by the victim were inside the vehicle and subsequently taken into custody. During a search of the vehicle, police say they found the large knife and several illegal narcotics. The male suspects were booked into the Willacy County Jail. During the booking process, a female arrived and was reportedly highly intoxicated.
The female was arrested for public intoxication and was identified as the third suspect, Frances Delgado.
