Westport Police Department is actively investigating a missing juvenile. Maxwell David Yeater was reported missing at about 3:30 p.m. on November 18, 2023. The 15-year-old reportedly went missing from the Newman’s Preservatory Trail in Westport, Connecticut.

Yeater is described as a white male, approximately 125 pounds, 5’ 7” tall with a long, brown surfer-style haircut. He was wearing navy blue shorts and a sweatshirt.

Drones and K-9s were brought in to search the trails on November 18^th. The search turned up nothing.

Yeater allegedly made contact with a friend via landline. Police ran a check on the phone number to find it was linked to a WI-Fi kiosk in New York City. It is believed that Yeater traveled from the Newman’s Preservatory Trail to New York City. No further details are available at this time.
