The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an explosion that left a home leveled. KCSO reports that its Fire and Explosives Unit responded to reports of a home explosion on Blue Water Way around 1 p.m. on November 20.

According to FEIU investigators, the structure was completely leveled and no occupants were home at the time of the explosion.

Investigators are working to identify the origin and cause of the explosion and fire. KCSO says its investigators completed their field interview around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

Authorities say there will be an extensive investigation that will take some time. No injuries were reported.
