The Weber County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a murder-suicide after four people were found deceased. Around 10 p.m. on September 3, 2024, deputies responded to a call of four people deceased in a car in the area of 1800 South Prevedel Drive in West Haven.

At the scene, deputies confirmed that the four individuals were deceased and beyond help. Investigators from WCSO, Weber/Morgan Homicide Task Force, and Weber-Metro CSI responded to investigate the deaths.

WSCO says it was determined that the people were 32-year-old Maribel Ibarra and her three children. The names of the children will not be released. Detectives believe this was a tragic incident of murder-suicide.

All four suffered gunshot wounds. Authorities do not believe anyone else was involved in the deaths. WCSO says the evidence suggests that Maribel shot her three children in the rear cargo area of the vehicle before fatally shooting herself.
