The Waterloo Police Department reports that it is investigating a double shooting on Sunday. According to WPD, officers and Fire Personnel responded to 219 Lafayette Street for a report of a person shot around 2:26 p.m. on December 1, 2024.

WPD says officers were arriving at the scene when they were made aware that a second victim was being transported to the hospital via a private vehicle.

Police confirm that both victims are being treated at an area hospital for their injuries. WPD says detectives and lab personnel have been called to assist.
