Washoe County Sheriff’s Office arrests Alec Flores in death of Jeffrey McCunn

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the death of an Incline Village Resident. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office reports that 30-year-old Alec Flores was arrested in the death of 54-year-old Jeffrey McCunn following an investigation led by WCSO detectives.

On June 23, 2024, WCSO deputies responded to a residence in the 800 block of Hazel Court in Incline Village for an unresponsive subject. At the scene, officers and medical personnel found a deceased male inside the residence.

WCSO detectives responded to assume control of the investigation. Detectives say they identified Alec Flores as a suspect in the case. An arrest warrant was issued for Flores on May 14, 2024.

On May 23, Flores was taken into custody in Reno by the Regional Crime Suppression Unit and the US Marshals Service. He was transported to the Washoe County Detention Facility where he remains on a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon enhancement.
