The Volusia Sheriff’s Office has announced that a shooting death is under investigation on its social media page. According to the Sheriff’s Office, detectives are investigating a Saturday night shooting that took the life of a DeLand, Florida man. Authorities are also seeking potential witnesses who may have information about the incident.

The Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a 911 call around 10:45 PM. The caller reported finding an adult male unconscious in the front yard of 808 South Massachusetts Avenue in DeLand. It was determined that the victim, who was identified as 50-year-old Hector Hernandez Pasquale, had been shot. Pasquale was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities say no one has been arrested at this time.
