The Volusia County Medical Examiner has reported four deaths related to Hurricane Milton in Volusia County. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office reported the news on social media earlier today.

Authorities say two deaths were caused by trees falling onto homes. In those cases, the victims have been identified as a 79-year-old woman in Ormond Beach and a 54-year-old woman in Port Orange.

Two other cases are described as medical events. One person experienced a medical emergency boarding up before the storm. The other experienced a medical emergency during storm conditions that prevented an immediate EMS response.
