Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Albertson’s parking lot. The incident occurred at approximately 9:52 a.m. on December 18, 2023, at 2950 College Drive in Baton Rouge.

Following an investigation, detectives determined an 84-year-old female walking in the Albertson’s parking tripped on a raised portion of concrete. While lying on the ground, the elderly female was driven over by a 2015 Volkswagen Beetle.

The driver of the Volkswagen allegedly did not see the elderly woman lying on the ground.

The 84-year-old woman was identified as Louise Calloway. Calloway succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
