Visalia Police arrest man for attempted burglary at Awards and Signs

A man has been arrested in connection to an attempted robbery at the Awards and Signs store on Main Street. VPD reports that its officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at the store just before 9:30 p.m.

The business owners reported that they had seen a man on security cameras using bolt cutters to cut through the fence and attempt to break in. VPD says officers reached the scene and took 37-year-old Wesley Curtis into custody without incident.

Police say Curtis was found with burglary tools. He also allegedly has a prior burglary record. Curtis was booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility for Vandalism, Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, and a no bail warrant.
