Vibekayaks.com is an e-commerce vendor that specializes in kayaks, kayak trailers, motors, coolers, fishing gear, and accessories.
About The Vendor
The About Us page claims Vibe was established by Josh Thomas in 2013.
Not BBB-Accredited
Vibe is not accredited by BBB. However, it is registered with BBB. The BBB filing utilizes the address 3380 Town Point Dr NW, Ste 210, Kennesaw, GA 30144. A Google search shows the address as an industrial space.
The BBB filing has an alert – may be out of business – on the filing.
Vibe has a 3-star BBB customer rating and 1 complaint over the past three years. The complaint is regarding an order placed through an authorized Vibe dealer, not Vibe. The complaint alleges Vibe manipulates its sales.
Vibe’s response claimed the authorized dealer failed to process the order. In other words, they were not even aware of the order. Vibe suggested the plaintiff to request a refund and it would match the offer with a “free paddle”.
The Vibe representative claimed to have reached out to the authorized dealer, explaining the importance of only displaying items in reserve, not items out of stock.
Georgia Business Validation
Nayzayerz conducted a business search through the Georgia Corporations Division website. The search validated Vibe Kayaks as an LLC that was registered by Joshua Thomas on April 16, 2014. The business filing is in the “active” status, according to the State of Georgia Corporations Division.
The business filing also validates the address in the BBB filing. The company is physically located in Cobb County, Georgia.
Afterword – Vibe Kayaks Scam
Is Vibe Kayaks a scam? No, Vibe is a brick-and-mortar business based in Kennesaw, Georgia. The company has been in business since 2014. Only 1 BBB complaint in the past 3 years is actually great in today’s terms, where companies like Amazon, Comcast, and Verizon have thousands of BBB customer complaints and counting.
Vibe appears to be a legit company that strives to do right by its customers. The BBB complaint was filed against Vibe, but should have been filed against the Vibe authorized dealer. When you are running an e-commerce site, you should never advertise products that are not in stock. When consumers purchase out-of-stock products, they are waiting for months to receive them, if they do receive them. This is a lesson to be learned by all e-commerce vendors.
This is not an Alibaba dropshipper, but a legitimate Georgia-registered business. American consumers should support our small businesses, which have taken a major hit from the COVID-19 economic crisis.
Be sure to contact the company directly before approving a purchase. Don’t understand why BBB has issued a potential “out of business” alert for Vibe. We suggest contacting the business via phone before ordering. Vibe needs to dispute the filing alert because millions of American consumers view BBB as a reliable source for business validity.
